摘要: The feeding of Diaphus theta in the zone subarctic front and Pacific waters off Kuril Islands November 2001 July–August 2002 was studied. Interzonal plankton [euphausiids (mainly Euphausia pacifica), copepods (Metridia amphipods (Themisto pacifica)] dominated food bolus. As fish grow, proportion decreases, euphausiids increases stomachs, spectrum extends. One considerable peak (in both summer autumn periods) occurring nighttime revealed. most intensive takes place dark time day epipelagial due to amphipods; light day, activity declines. Fish feed mainly on upper pelagial. daily ration D. 1.5% weight period 3.2% period.
