Spawning season and migration of the myctophid fish Diaphus theta in the western North Pacific

摘要: The spawning season, grounds, and migration of the myctophid fish Diaphus theta were studied in western North Pacific, based on seasonal sampling estimation hatching dates. peak abundance larvae was observed July transition waters between Oyashio Kuroshio fronts. season ranged from late March to early September, with a May July. Larvae juveniles <40 mm standard length distributed waters, whereas larger individuals collected Western Subarctic waters. These results indicate that this species undergoes horizontal into crossing front.
