摘要: Aim To evaluate the association between parameters of hyperferritinemia (HF) and metabolic syndrome (MS) in patients at cardiovascular risk. Patients Methods This is a cross-sectional analytical observational study that included 269 who attended cardiology unit. Biochemical anthropometric were evaluated to identify presence HF MS. The MS was according NCEP ATP III. (glycemia, triglycerides, HDL-c) assessed manufacturer's protocols. Anthropometric measurements blood pressure made by trained professional. chi-square (X2) test, odds ratio, normality distribution (verified Kolmogorov-Smirnov test), Levene's test used analyze variables. effect MS, HF, interaction two-way analysis variance (ANOVA) performed based on homogeneity variances, followed Bonferroni's post hoc comparisons. Spearman correlation relationship quantitative A multiple linear regression model covariables. logistic built variables contribute significantly predict outcome using backward method. Results Our results showed 57% men 49.5% women presented with MS; 44% 11% HF. hypertriglyceridemia increase probability having up 2.1 1.88 times, respectively, while for male sex it increased 6.2 times. have higher values C-reactive protein, ferritin, transferrin saturation, regardless indicated considered this explain less than 30% variation ferritin responsible 22% occurrence Conclusion show closely associated components (positive glycemia, triglycerides levels, pressure, waist circumference, negative HDL-c values) studied population.
