摘要: Background Few studies document longitudinal changes in physical activity from prepregnancy to the postpartum period. Methods This study estimated change self-reported leisure-time 1442 women before pregnancy, during second trimester, and at 6 months postpartum. In addition, it also examined predictors of becoming insufficiently active or after pregnancy. Results The mean (SD) age was 32.5 (4.5) years, 34% were overweight obese (body mass index equal greater than 25 kg/m 2 ), 76% white. Before total leisure 9.6 hours per week. reported decrease between –1.4 (95% CI=–1.0 –1.9) week, accounted for by decreases moderate vigorous but not walking. Prevalence lifestyle (less 150 minutes week activity) increased 12.6% pregnancy 21.7% OR 1.58 CI=1.07–2.32) with least one child compared no children. Predictors included weight retention (OR=1.31; 95% CI=1.05–1.58 each 5-kg increment); working longer first trimester (e.g., OR=5.12; CI=1.96–13.4 45+ vs 0 hours); reporting that lack care a barrier (OR=1.73; CI=0.99–3.02).
