摘要: Simulations of an α-mode radio frequency dielectric barrier discharge are performed for varying mixtures argon and helium at pressures ranging from 200 to 500 Torr using both zero one-dimensional models. Metastable densities analyzed as a function argon-helium mixture pressure determine the optimal conditions, maximizing metastable density use in optically pumped rare gas laser. Argon fractions corresponding peak found be dependent, shifting approximately 15% Ar He 200 Torr 10% 500 Torr. A decrease is observed increased due diminution reduced electric field quadratic increase loss rates through Ar2* formation. zero-dimensional effective direct current model implemented, showing agreement with trends predicted by fluid bulk plasma.
