摘要: Abstract Owing to its acute toxicity and mobility, the hexavalent chromium [Cr(VI)] in water wastewater is an immense risk environment. Herein, ZnO-tetrapods/activated carbon (ZnO-T/AC) nanocomposite was synthesized as adsorbent for efficient decontamination of Cr(VI) from aqueous medium. The tetrapodal ZnO by flame transport synthesis (FTS) approach. utilized activated (AC) successfully prepared sugarcane bagasse with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) impregnation, followed carbonization. Finally ZnO-T/AC hydrothermal method. structural chemical properties obtained (NC) were systematically characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) analysis. Batch experiments performed AC, ZnO-T study their maximum adsorption efficiency Cr(VI). effect operational parameters such contact time, pH dosage on removal also investigated. Different kinetic models employed comprehend mechanism. (97%) achieved at 2. showed significant potential can be further explored a large scale hazardous heavy metal ions industrial contaminates.
