摘要: Abstract Genistein, a naturally occurring phytoestrogen and member of the large class compounds known as isoflavones, exerts protective effects in several diseases. Recent studies indicate that genistein plays critical role controlling body weight, obesity-associated insulin resistance, metabolic disorders, but its target organs reversing obesity related pathological conditions remain unclear. In this study, we showed mice supplemented with 0.2% high-fat diet for 12 weeks enhanced homeostasis, including reduced obesity, improved glucose uptake sensitivity, alleviated hepatic steatosis. We also observed beiging phenomenon white adipose tissue reversal brown whitening these mice. These changes led to resistance cold stress. Altogether, our data suggest profile treated is likely result function.
