摘要: This paper discusses the potential to use X-ray image analysis as a rapid and nondestructive test of viability northern red oak (Quercus rubra L.) acorns methodology do so. Acorns are sensitive desiccation lose moisture content (MC) decreases, so we examined images for cotyledon damage in dried predict seed early seedling growth. When compared greenhouse growth measurements, proved be related germination growth, even more than MC. These results suggest that may provide accurate acorn other popular tests. describes how bring this proposed into practice with hope improving nursery efficiency quality seedlings.
