摘要: Changes in permeability and porosity during shortening deformation of Carrara marble hot-pressed calcite aggregates were measured under high pressure at room temperature using argon as pore fluid. At effective pressures 30 50 MPa, the increased by up to 2 orders magnitude with less than 2% strain which connected only 0.005. The more slowly further 18%, a 0.05 0.06. 100 MPa 200 these effects much marked. In aggregates, deformed an about after 12% increase 0.03. Microstructural studies indicate that, coarse-grained specimens, both transgranular grain boundary cracks are present deformation. For given strain, average length linear density decrease increasing pressure. fine-grained, dilatancy is mainly due opening cracks. very marked small low can be correlated proliferation microcracks relatively large apertures, deduced on basis theoretical models.
