摘要: This study examines the gastric effects of adenosine and its antagonist, theophylline, on secretory function, mucosal blood flow, ethanol-induced glandular damage in rats that were fasted for 24 hr before experimentation. The animals anesthetized with sodium pentobarbitone (50 mg/kg intraperitoneal) their tracheae cannulated. An ex vivo stomach chamber then was prepared. luminal bathing solution collected every 15 min concentrations H+ Na+ determined by a pH autotitrator an ionmeter, respectively. flow measured laser Doppler flowmeter severity lesions measuring hemorrhagic areas. Adenosine administration (2.5 or 7.5 mg/kg, subcutaneous) markedly lowered output but increased volume dose-dependent manner. same doses nucleoside also prevented damage. These pretreatment theophylline (30 60 subcutaneous). Ethanol given alone significantly depressed secretion. Both not modified treatment. However, depressive action ethanol adenosine. findings indicate modulates physiological function stomach. It directly activates defensive mechanism stomach, which is partially mediated improvement increase nonacid component
