摘要: Abstract Isotopic and trace element compositions of Miocene Pliocene phosphatic brachiopods (Lingulidae Discinidae) from southern North Sea, the Central Paratethys Atlantic coast Europe were investigated in order to past environmental conditions marine connections between northern boreal subtropical–tropical basins. The Sea genus Glottidia yielded low e Nd high δ 18 O PO4 values through Mio-Pliocene indicating cold habitat temperature where local seawater was dominated by Ocean. In contrast, Middle Lingulidae Discinidae inhabited warm subtropical with possible influence Indian Ocean via Mediterranean, as supported their average value − 8.3. combined geochemical data support a thermal separation no direct connection or major exchange water onwards. very similar that inferred western France, but here is identical contemporaneous A Late lingulid brachiopod Portugal has , specimens reflecting either deep formation after onset global cooling resulted an increased seawater. − 8.4 for this site compatible Mediterranean outflow.
