摘要: In urban and suburban settings, storm water management design is a well-developed widely practiced profession, but the situation in exurban areas far different. Beyond metropolitan fringe, lower residential densities smaller capital budgets limit improvements, which heighten need for sound by planners private property owners. This chapter describes impact that dissection of landscapes infrastructure can have on stream stability exurbia. It considers how, why, roads utilities siting homes subdivisions drainage networks contribute to flood hazards. Recommendations dealing with exurbia are also discussed.
