摘要: Since centuries vegetable oils are consumed as human food but it also finds applications in biodiesel production which is attracting more attention. But due to being competition with could not be sustainable and leads the need search for alternative. Nowdays microbes-derived (single cell oils) seem alternatives their similar composition that of oils. However, cold flow properties produced from microbial unacceptable have modified by an efficient transesterification. Glycerol product transesterification can valorised into some useful products so utilised along simplify downstream processing. The review paper discusses about various potent microorganisms production, enzymes involved lipid accumulation, quantification methods, catalysts used (including enzymatic catalyst) valorisation glycerol.
