摘要: Gastric carcinoma is the fourth most common malignancy in Western Europe and a major cause of cancer morbidity mortality worldwide, particularly Far East areas South America. The natural history disease not fully established, there need to elucidate molecular mechanisms gastric carcinogenesis order understand its pathogenesis develop markers for clinical diagnostic use. Molecular analysis colonic has increased our understanding demonstrated multistage human cancer. Research achieved such significant progress, although start been made. We analyze some interpretation problems pathology affecting progress that are interest histopathologist review recent studies on biology involving flow cytometry, cytogenetics, allele loss analysis, transfection. also summarize current knowledge about each oncogenes suppressor genes, attempting, particular, correlate gene abnormalities with morphologic appearances. expanding field cell proliferation growth factors outlined, colon carcinomas compared, considered as model system study differentiation. This report concludes by suggesting directions future research.
