Charged particle periodicities in Saturn's outer magnetosphere

摘要: [1] A Lomb periodogram analysis is applied to charged particle data from the LEMMS/CHEMS instruments on Cassini spacecraft. The represent count rates, averaged within 30 min bins, electrons (28-330 keV) and protons oxygen ions (2.8-236 during 350 days in 2005 all 365 2006. Sun effects, spacecraft maneuvers, measurements 20 R S of Saturn were removed prior analysis. main peaks frequency periodograms (or power spectra) found a window 9.5 hours 12.5 hours. For signal-to-noise ratios exceeding 8, this reveal consistent peak near 10.80 (10 48 36 sec) for particles regardless energy or species. Even lower ratios, period generally present. analyses are with an azimuthal anomaly that rotates
