摘要: The in vitro contractile response of the human uterine artery to sumatriptan was compared that cerebral blood vessels. Artery rings were prepared for isometric contraction. Tachyphylaxis triptan-induced vascular contraction observed artery, but not basilar and middle arteries. To evaluate 5-HT(1) receptor subtypes functionality, concentration-response curves performed at 0 24 h after isolation. Both 10 μmol/l cyanopindolol 63 nmol/l SB 224,289 (5-HT(1B) antagonists) significantly antagonized induced by 5-HT(1B/1D) antagonist BRL 15,572 both experimental conditions. We conclude tachyphylaxis non-cerebral vessels, ones, may be due loss functionality 5-HT(1B) subtype, increasing safety triptans.
