摘要: Polyunsaturated fatty acids with 20 carbon atoms exhibit unique physiological activities in the human body, for example lowering of cholesterol and triacylglycerols plasma, prevention atherosclerosis other cardiovascular diseases reduction colagen-induced thrombocyte aggregation. Moreover, these are great value nutrition edible marine animals reared mariculture, as precursors eicosanoid hormones. Potential sources such include fungi, mainly lower Phycomycetes, microalgae, viz. dinoflagellates, diatoms unicellular red algae, macroalgae, particularly Phaeophyta Rhodophyta, mosses. The biomass may be enriched C20-polyunsaturated by chilling, nitrogen starvation, controlled illumination incubation lipophilic compounds.
