摘要: The effects of two strontium (Sr) additions, 5% and 10% the total calcium (Ca) content, on phase assemblage Weibull statistics hydroxyapatite (HA) are investigated compared to those undoped HA. Sintering was carried out in range 900-1200 °C steps 1000 a conventional furnace. Sr content had little effect mean particulate size. Decomposition HA occurred with incorporation, while β-TCP stabilization shown occur additions. Porosity both sets doped samples at comparable level porosity samples, however Sr-HA displayed greatest reduction increasing temperature remain relatively constant over full sintering range. strengths determined be major controlling factor. However, introduction decompositional phases dependence strength is reduced becomes more dominant factor for strength. modulus independent samples. experience slight increase porosity, indicating possible relationship between parameters. However show highest value approximately 15 across all temperatures. It postulated that this due increased amount surface lattice diffusion these undergo, which effectively smooths flaws microstructure, saturation occurring grain boundary movement.
