摘要: In this research, the continuous adjoint method is applied to optimize an airfoil in subsonic and transonic flows. An inverse design problem solved evaluate ability of optimization algorithm then, two types optimizations, constrained non-constrained, are investigated a drag minimization problem. non-constrained problem, performed fixed angle attack with neither geometric nor aerodynamic constraint, but lift coefficient. Comparison results these optimizations shows effects constraint on trend optimized geometry. Moreover, imposing increased computational costs method. problems, surface points adopted as variables show performance equations approach problems numerous variables.
