摘要: We have studied the axonal and myelin sheath response in diffuse injury after angular acceleration using freeze-fracture thin section techniques. It was found that glial-axonal junction intact until 1 h injury. But upon loss of nodal axolemma specialisations, 3 to 4h, dimeric particles (GAJ) were lost and, by 6h, lamellae became separated from remnant. There a correlated glial membrane specialisations GAJ during this separation. In internodal region suggestion damage occurred 20 min but discrete dislocations (particle-free areas) not 1-h survival extensive 6 h. Areas loosely organised between axons at 7–28 days No evidence for growth cone formation obtained.
