摘要: Resting energy expenditure (REE) is an important tool in nutrition management, especially type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). The predicted REE (pREE) was reported to be inaccurate, compared with measured (mREE) Japanese T2DM patients. Despite the accuracy of REE, via indirect calorimetry (mREE), technique demanding. This study evaluated associated clinical factors difference between pREE and mREE patients T2DM. Forty-nine but no severe complications (32 men 17 women) were enrolled. determined calorimetry. Participants average age 56.3 ± 11.0 years, body mass index 25.2 ± 3.6 kg/m2, HbA1c 9.6 ± 1.6%. mean 1099 ± 212 kcal/day. Age, index, hemoglobin, uric acid levels all by simple regression; these, weight significant factor multiple regression analysis. When divided into tertiles, values lower than for each group. largest lowest value group, whose subjects mostly women aged over 50 years. group showed significantly (904 ± 121 kcal) comparison same 26% overestimation pREE, even when equation that yielded closest used. previously overestimates T2DM, postmenopausal women.
