摘要: Introduction.Th e deletion (D) allele of the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) gene has been studied in various populations relation to hypertension (HTN) and type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) with contradictory results. This study sought determine association insertion (I)/D polymorphism ACE hypertensive T2DM subjects a Malaysian population. Materials methods.A total 60 consisting 65 HTN, T2DM, HTN 70 controls were recruited. Genotyping was performed by polymerase chain reaction initially mistyping DD genotypes an insertion-specific primer. Results. The frequency for II, ID 36.92%, 52.31% 10.77% 40.00%, 41.67% 18.33% 30.77%, 53.85% 15.38% 57.14%, 40.00% 2.86% controls, respectively. The D 36.92% 39.17% 42.31% compared 22.86% controls. genotype differed significantly patients when (p < 0.05). Conclusion.Th is associated essential subjects.
