Interrelations among Regulation Focus, Authenticity and Emotional Responses to Frustration of Self-Related Experiences among University Students in Turkey

摘要: The aim of this study is to investigate the possible interrelation regulatory focus, authenticity and negative emotional responses frustration that surrounds relational independent self-aspects in Turkey, both which are witnessing a rise among educated-urbanized population. Previous findings show may be experienced authentically, while self appears associated more closely with promotion focus than prevention focus. We proposed model mediates relationship between related self-frustration, directly predicts self-frustration. tested on self-reported data collected from Turkish university students (N = 317). results reveal was direct predictor self-aspect, predicted self-aspect. Authenticity found mediate These suggest goals, such as safeguarding interests significant others, regulated not only strategies, but also through perceived authenticity.
