摘要: Abstract A sensitive spectrophotometric method for the determination of a widely used herbicide, paraquat using versatile reducing agent sodium borohydride is described. Paraquat reduced with in an alkaline medium to give blue radical ion absorbance maxima at 600 nm. Beer's law obeyed range 0.05–0.5 μg ml−1 paraquat. The molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity are found be 2.9 × 105 l mol−1 cm−1 0.0006 cm−2 respectively. important analytical parameters optimum reaction conditions were evaluated. free from interference other commonly pesticides metal ions. was applied successfully human samples, such as blood, urine mother's milk compared food environmental samples.
