摘要: The mechanisms underlying spike time coding in auditory system are not well understood. Despite of several models proposed to describe the first latency (FSL), there is no comparison their respective performance. Here, based on FSL data from central nucleus inferior colliculus (CIC) mouse tone stimuli with varying rise function, time, and amplitude, we examined previous by comparing recorded derived FSL, respectively. We found that LIEFTS (leaky integration, event formation, temporal summation) threshold model produced better match than other models. In addition, suggested short constants (<2 ms) cannot be attributed IC neurons themselves (normally longer 10 ms), but similar those for inner hair cells (around 1.4 ms). Our results a fit properties can inherited along pathway, likely through faithful relays peripheral origins.
