摘要: Abstract The selectivity of a traditional trammel net, monofilament net and gill for Lithognathus mormyrus (striped sea-bream), Diplodus annularis (annular sea-bream) Mullus barbatus (red mullet) was investigated in two coastal areas (central Adriatic sea southern Ligurian sea). Three mesh sizes were tested each set net: 45, 70 90 mm (stretched-mesh size). Selectivity assessed by the indirect Sechin model based on measurement maximum body girth head girth. 45-mm size most efficient all target species irrespective type. catches obtained with 90-mm meshes always very low as D. M. 70-mm mesh. Although fishes three caught gilling and/or wedging, gears number individuals also virtue tangled pocket effects. Their proportion, lowest generally negligible higher highest standard caused progressive widening size-catch ranges, confirming nets. appears to be suitable exploitation because it specimens while largely spared juveniles.
