摘要: Background In this study we report on the outcome including overall and cause-specific mortality of Parkinson's disease (PD) patients subsequent to 38 years surveillance. This is an extension our previous mortality. Methods Two hundred thirty-seven with a symptom onset between 1974 1984 were followed until date December 31, 2012 or death, representing follow-up period up years. Overall standardized ratios (SMRs) calculated, predictors for survival at estimated. Results Conclusion Two thirty had died by 2012; total 3,489 person-years available observation. The SMR was 2.02 (1.76-2.29). Employing Cox's proportional hazard modeling, male sex, gait disorder, absence classical rest tremor, asymmetry predicted poor in cohort. Increased SMRs found pneumonia cerebrovascular cardiovascular diseases. © 2014 International Parkinson Movement Disorder Society
