摘要: Recent findings indicate that many endogenous antibodies exhibit multispecificity. These a potential for interference with immunoassays. Antibodies interfere immunoassays have been called heterophile or heterophilic antibodies. The purpose of this review is: (1) to identify the nature antibodies; (2) delineate processes produce them; (3) examine mechanisms by which these cause interference; and (4) explore how information can be used reduce immunoassay interference. In addition producing specific antibodies, process antibody production gives rise rudimentary are polyspecific; e.g., antigen-combining site has an affinity antigens different chemical composition. This also generates idiotypic containing cross-reactive idiotopes. along rheumatoid factors, themselves polyspecific rich in idiotopes, inherent parts production, Mechanisms outlined. properties may substantial consequence directing future assays toward greater clinical predictive value.
