摘要: This study aimed to evaluate under photoautotrophic conditions the effect of CO2-enriched atmosphere (360 or 1,000 μmol CO2 mol−1 air) combined with two substrate types (agar Florialite®) in vitro on plants Pfaffia glomerata, an endangered medicinal species promising applications phytotherapy and phytomedicine. The effects treatments growth, stomatal density, Rubisco activity, carbon isotopic discrimination, metabolite accumulation, photosynthetic pigments ultrastructural characteristics were investigated. After a 35-day cultivation period, vitro-growth P. glomerata nodal segments different resulted substantial differences relation their pigments, density leaf characteristics. enrichment coupled porous increased growth glomerata. abaxial epidermis more than doubled response high supply both supporting types, whereas activity activation state unresponsive treatments. Regardless supply, grown agar displayed higher isotope discrimination counterparts Florialite®. We propose that long-term performance was improved using Florialite® as support combination supply. No apparent signs down-regulation could be found elevated conditions. atmospheres offers new possibilities for improving production commercial scale morphological physiological quality plants.
