摘要: In an observational study of nine commercial dairy herds over two springs (four in 1990 and five 1991) where cows grazed pasture alone, negativeasscciations werefoundbetween blood(ormilk) urealevelsandmilkfatandmilkproteinproduction, andpositiveassociations urea levels with protein to soluble carbohydrate (N/Sol.CHO) ratios. Statistical analyses using principal component analysis datasets from spring 1991 indicated that a high proportion variation (73% 1990, 33% the variables measured was explained by above relationships. Analysis variance PC scores showed these relationships were between-farm effects not related seasonal change time (p < 0.001). Additional data 35 September 199 1 also supported associations found. Reproductive performance (conception rate submission AB mating) associated negatively levels. Variations nutrient composition during am presented. The correlation between N/Sol.CHO ratio milk (r-0.69). Further work is needed clarify cause effect
