摘要: Objective The aim was to evaluate the effect of cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica) lactating sows' diet on piglet development at lactation and post-weaning. Materials Methods Twenty-four litters hybrids sows were evaluated in this study. divided into two groups: Control (CG), fed conventionally experimental (EG), with commercial plus cactus. Post-weaning, piglets both groups monitored up 20 kg liveweight (LW). It evaluated, (in sows): feed intake (FI), milk production (MP), quality (MQ) LW piglet. Post-weaning piglets): FI, LW, length intestinal villi (LIV) 0, 24 h, 42 days Results FI sow-1 higher EG (p 0.05). piglet-1 sixth eighth week age < 0.05); end weaning phase, presented 0.05): 8.4% more. LIV jejunum 0.05) 48 h (28.8%) post-weaning (29.9%). At day descending portion CG (1,571.0 μm) versus (1,058.0 μm). 42, transverse EG: 23.7% higher. Conclusion Cactus does not affect development. However, present portion, aspect that improves LW.
