摘要: Abstract The effect of lead (Pb) ingestion on hematological parameters in male and female Swiss mice was assessed. Eight different doses Pb were administered through preparation feeds. levels the diet designed to provide exposure below (0.6 2.0–13 μg/dl) normal background. One litter exposed each dose, with mother given feed 1 day after mating, offspring continuing receive until 90 days old. Male receiving background dietary displayed enhanced red blood cell (RBC) production as measured by increased numbers RBC hemoglobin hematocrit values. However, approached 10 μg/dl there a marked decrease production. These findings are significant since biologically active stimulating manner typical (2.0 while adversely effecting synthesis at above (7.0–13 encountered environment humans.
