Factors contributing to evaluation of a good death from the bereaved family member's perspective.

摘要: Background: Although it is important to achieve a good death in Japan, there have been no studies explore factors associated with death. The aim of this study was contributing from the bereaved family members' perspectives, including patient and demographics medical variables. Methods: A cross-sectional anonymous questionnaire survey for members cancer patients who had died regional center chart review were conducted. We measured results Good Death Inventory demographics. In addition, we extracted demographics, variables, interventions last 48 h before review. Results: Of 344 questionnaires sent members, 165 responses analyzed (48%). found, first, that palliative care unit more likely be described as compared on general ward. Some significant characteristics ‘environmental comfort,’ ‘physical psychological ‘being respected an individual,’ ‘natural death.’ Second, found patient's member's age other demographic significantly correlated evaluation life prolongation treatment aggressive such chemotherapy 2 weeks barriers attainment Moreover, appropriate opioid medication contributed death.
