摘要: Skeletal muscle atrophy is a common phenomenon during the prolonged disuse caused by cast immobilization, extended aging states, bed rest, space flight, or other factors. However, cellular mechanisms of atrophic process are poorly understood. In this study, we investigated involvement mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) in expression muscle-specific RING finger 1 (MuRF1) rat gastrocnemius muscle. Histological analysis revealed that immobilization induced muscle, with diminution weight and cross-sectional area after 14 days. Cast significantly elevated MuRF1 phosphorylation p38 MAPK. The starvation L6 skeletal myoblasts under serum-free conditions MAPK characteristics typical cast-immobilized was also serum-starved myoblasts, but attenuated SB203580, an inhibitor Changes sizes response to were reversed their transfection small interfering RNA treatment SB203580. From these results, suggest regulated muscles.
