摘要: Strategies abound for the setting of analytical goals in clinical chemistry. Many, especially those more recently proposed particular situations, are concerned with tests used diagnosis. We suggest a general theory situations that specifically involve monitoring individuals. Goals calculated from formula CVA less than [(delta c 2/2Z2)-CVB2]1/2, where is imprecision (as coefficient variation, CV); delta percentage change serial results considered clinically significant; Z Z-statistic, which depends only on probability selected statistical significance; and CVB average inherent within-subject biological variation CV). Examples given show applications hematology diabetes mellitus, chronic renal failure, hepatitis. The derived total random error (imprecision intermittent systematic variation), provide objective criteria should be achieved practice. effect variability both test stated can significant whether or not attained.
