Enhancement of ductility and improvement of abnormal Goss grain growth of magnetostrictive Fe-Ga rolled alloys

摘要: The influences of initial microstructures on the mechanical properties and recrystallization texture magnetostrictive 0.1at% NbC-doped Fe83Ga17 alloys were investigated. directionally solidified columnar-grained structure substantially enhanced tensile elongation at intermediate temperatures by suppressing fracture along transverse boundaries. Compared with elongations 1.0% 300°C 12.0% 500°C hot-forged equiaxed-grained alloys, exhibited increased 21.6% 46.6% 500°C. In slabs for rolling, introduction -oriented columnar grains also promotes secondary Goss in finally annealed sheets, resulting an improvement saturation magnetostriction. For specimens, inhomogeneous microstructure disadvantage number size are improved primarily which is beneficial to abnormal growth during final annealing process.
