摘要: Lately, significant research efforts are put in the area of designing smart cities by both academia and industry focusing on making use city facilities (buildings, infrastructure, transportation, energy, etc.) order to improve people’s quality life create a sustainable environment. Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANET) play main role supporting creation smarter cities. VANET based “smart” inter-vehicle communications with infrastructure via so called V2X (i.e. V2V – vehicle-to-vehicle V2I/I2V vehicle-to-infrastructure/infrastructure-to-vehicle). demonstrated their huge potential when not only intelligent transportation solutions, but also green solutions. Most this targets single class users represented car drivers. This thesis addresses different types users, mainly cyclists, as cycling is one most forms transportation. The proposes three solutions: Speed Advisory System for Electric Bicycles (SAECy), an Energy Efficient Weather-aware Route Planner solution (eWARPE) Fuzzy Logic-based Clustering Scheme (FuzzC-VANET) over vehicular networks. SAECy provides on-route assistance cyclists experience reduce energy consumption particular case electric bicycles. uses I2V communication obtaining traffic light related information, weather information. eWARPE off-route support them avoiding adverse conditions much possible, save battery FuzzC-VANET generic clustering scheme dedicated that can be employed information dissemination SAECy’s context enhance its performances increase accuracy response two issues, stability scalability, extends benefits all other classes drivers vehicles) VANET. The performance proposed solutions was evaluated through multiple assessment techniques: experimental testing real test-bed, interviews online questionnaire measure need interest simulations highly realistic scenarios. The results clearly show improved comparison similar state-of-the-art
