摘要: Abstract Different concentrations of the lead ore mineral (Galena) were incorporated into composites natural rubber (NR) and styrene — butadiene (SBR-1502). By using 137Cs as a gamma radiation source, investigated to determine what extent these materials could be used shield. It was found that linear attenuation coefficient μ (m−1) increases markedly with increase galena content up value about 29 m−1 for 500 phr Galena in matrix. The thermal properties (thermal diffusivity a, specific heat Cp, conductivity λ) also measured composites.
