摘要: The clinical features and the outcomes of eight cases nosocomial Acinetobacter baumannii meningitis treated with ampicillin/sulbactam are reported. All patients had fever, neck stiffness or meningeal signs, a low consciousness level, in their cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), pleocytosis, glucose an elevated protein level were noted. For all CSF isolates A. baumannii, MIC was < = 8/4 microg/mL. MICs sulbactam by microdilution two 4 resistant to cefotaxime, ceftriaxone, ceftazidime, ureidopenicillins, ciprofloxacin, gentamicin. Seven imipenem. isolated from other samples seven episodes. (seven 2 g/l g every 6 hours one 8 hours). Six cured died meningitis. There no side effects treatment. In conclusion, may be effective as therapy for caused baumanii imipenem beta-lactam drugs.
