摘要: Primary sludge, from different pulp and paper mills, was used as feedstock in simultaneous saccharification fermentation (SSF) processes to produce ethanol. SSF carried out with Saccharomyces cerevisiae ATCC 26602 yeast NS 22192 enzymatic extract using 150gL(-1) of carbohydrates (CH) primary sludge. The effect sterilization, reduction enzyme dosage fed-batch vs. batch conditions were studied. removal sterilization can be considered since no contamination or atypical by-products observed, although efficiency slightly decreased. the 35 15FPUgCH(-1) successful. Despite initial mixing difficulties, enabled higher ethanol concentration (41.7gL(-1)), conversion yield (48.9%) productivity (0.78gL(-1)h(-1)), compared process at same low 5FPUgCH(-1) high solids content 21.7%, rarely found literature.
