摘要: The Rotalex test, a commercial latex agglutination test for rotavirus, was compared with direct electron microscopy (EM) and the Rotazyme I, enzyme immunoassay, detection of rotavirus in stools children neonates. For initial stool specimens from 265 (less than 3 years old) diarrhea, had sensitivity 81.7% specificity 99.5% EM results. Positive negative predictive values were 98 94.9%, respectively. slightly more sensitive specific test. When daily patients gastroenteritis examined, varied depending on time collection relative to onset symptoms. Sensitivity 100 (20/20), 96 (23/24), 54% (7/13) during 1 4, 5 7, 8 18 days, respectively, after similarly days onset. We also examined 214 EM-negative asymptomatic newborns. False positivity by only 3.3% (7/214) 4.2% (9/215) as acute stage illness much faster cheaper or appears be suitable routine use small hospitals, emergency wards, even physician's office rapid diagnosis gastroenteritis.
