摘要: BACKGROUND Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a soft tissue disorder considered to be one of the most common causes inferior heel pain. The aim this study was investigate effect monophasic pulsed current (MPC) and MPC coupled with plantar fascia-specific stretching exercises (SE) on treatment PF. MATERIAL AND METHODS Forty-four participants (22 women 22 men, mean age 49 years) diagnosed PF were randomly assigned receive (n=22) or SE (n=22). Prior after 4 weeks treatment, underwent baseline evaluation; pain evaluated using visual analogue scale (VAS), tenderness threshold quantified handheld pressure algometer (PA), functional activities level assessed Activities Daily Living subscale Foot Ankle Ability Measure (ADL/FAAM). RESULTS Heel scores showed significant reduction in both groups compared VAS (P<0.001). improved significantly PA Functional activity (ADL/FAAM) However, no differences existed between 2 all post-intervention outcome measures. CONCLUSIONS This trial that useful treating symptoms caused by
