摘要: Curculigo orchioides rhizome extracts were evaluated for antibacterial activity against pathogenic strains of Gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis) Gram-negative (Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa Salmonella typhimurium) bacteria. Because the steam distilled preparation was found to be most active amongst different extracts, its aforementioned compared standard antibiotics gentamycin, ampicillin, doxycycline erythromycin. Only clinical isolate S. showed more sensitivity towards water than strain. Also, fraction effective strains. Therefore, extract from C. has a potential application as an antiseptic prevention treatment infections, present findings support traditional local uses.
