摘要: A 7-year-old dairy cow presented with clinical signs of neurologic disease. Despite treatment penicillin, the died 36 hours after initial presentation. Necropsy examination revealed multiple foci hemorrhage within cerebrum and thickened meninges. Additionally, endometritis consolidation approximately 30% both lungs was observed. Histology necrotizing vasculitis, infarction, sections brain, uterus, lung. Large numbers intralesional fungal hyphae were visible. Because only formalin-fixed tissue available, polymerase chain reaction used to make an etiologic diagnosis Mortierella wolfii.
