摘要: A previous study has revealed that proton beam irradiation affects cell migration in MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cells. Cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) and matrix metalloproteinase‑9 (MMP-9) are highly expressed various cancers, such as colon, lung cancer, enhance metastasis vitro vivo. In the present study, effects of on COX-2 MMP-9 expression levels MDA-MB‑231 cells were investigated, along with signaling pathway involved irradiation‑mediated antimetastatic effect. The results 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13‑acetate‑induced increases reversed by a dose-dependent manner. addition, inhibited phosphorylation protein kinase B (also known Akt) nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB), which activated phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K) stimulation. regulated PI3K/Akt and/or C/mitogen-activated pathways NF-κB activator protein-1 transcriptional activities. Therefore, suggest growth associated cells, effect is achieved suppression via inhibition Akt activation.
