摘要: Abstract The β-globin locus control region (LCR) is the founding member of a novel class cis -acting regulatory elements that confer high level, tissue-specific, site-of-integration-independent, copy number-dependent expression on linked transgenes located in ectopic chromatin sites. Knowledge from and other LCR studies has shed light our understanding long-range interaction between enhancers promoters, relationship conformation transcriptional regulation, developmental regulation multiple gene loci. After over decade investigation discovery, we take retrospective look at LCRs, summarize their properties review models function.
