Thermoelectric Power and Thermal Conduction Studies on the Gd Substituted BPSCCO (2234) Superconductors

摘要: Measurements of the electrical resistance (R-T), thermoelectric power (S-T) and thermal conductivity (κ-T) have been carried out on superconductor Bi1.7Pb0.3-x Gd x Sr2Ca3Cu4O12+y , (0.01 ≤ x ≤ 0.1). According to XRD patterns volume fraction Bi-2223 phase decreases in favor Bi-2212. All samples show normal metallic behavior down their relevant transition temperature, T c . -values decrease significantly with increasing Gd concentration system. The hole per Cu has calculated by using Presland method found content. values are positive increase magnitude substitution level. results obtained analyzed terms “Two band model linear T-term” “Xin’ s two model”. A very good agreement between first our data was obtained, but fit second poor. considerable effect conductivity, κ. κ is suppressed a peak appears just below becomes weaker broader when increased.
