摘要: Tufted capuchin monkeys are known to use both quadrupedalism and bipedalism in their natural environments. Although previous studies have investi- gated limb kinematics metabolic costs, ground reaction forces (GRFs) center of mass (CoM) mechan- ics during two four-legged locomotion unknown. Here, we determine the hind GRFs CoM energy, work, power over a range speeds gaits investigate effect differential number on locomotor performance. Our results indicate that ''grounded run'' (0.83-1.43 ms 21 ) primarily ambling galloping (0.91- 6.0 ). energy recoveries quite low (2-17%), general higher quadru- pedalism (4-72%).
