摘要: This report presents data obtained as part of the trial implementation Coastal and Estuarine Resource Condition Assessment (CERCA) project. CERCA was established to address widely-acknowledged need for a standardised means collecting, analysing presenting coastal estuarine condition information. NRM South, in partnership with Tasmanian Aquaculture Fisheries Institute (TAFI), has developed improve availability health access information, well identifying information needs stakeholders. A comprehensive review assessment methodologies, followed by extensive consultation resource managers (including state local government, industry community groups), resulted selection baseline monitoring parameters priority sites. A 12-month program implemented order obtain on water quality (salinity, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, pH, nutrients, silica), ecological shown Chlorophyll a, benthic macroinvertebrates, pathogens, habitat extent determined from mapping. While some cases built existing collection programs, most locations this represented first effort assured/quality controlled data. The that proposed framework can be successfully applied collect, collate, analyse present is useful variety stakeholders. It also yielded valuable used monitor changes ecosystems Tasmania’s southern NRM region.
