摘要: Abstract Three bilirubin derivatives, isolated from the bile of jaundiced Gunn rat, are chromatographically and spectrally identical with certain products generated by photo-oxidation in CHCl3. The pure pigments exhibit spectrochemical characteristics respectively a rubin, rhodin, purpurin tetrapyrrole chromophore. Mass spectroscopy is compatible their formulation as dihydroxyl derivatives which could be formed established photodegradation processes involving singlet oxygen. Excretion these rat dark suggests that oxygenase(s) involved alternate pathways metabolism animals congenitally deficient conjugation.
